I am afraid to get on the scale. My weight-loss should really becalled my weigth-gain. I haven't been to Weight Watchers recently because I do not want to face the number on the scale. It won't be kind. I keep telling myself that I am going to get it together and get back on the right path. I am sorta waiting on that to go back to the meetings, but that never works. I really should just bite the bullet and go to the meeting.
In other news, Spring is here, and the weather is getting better. I am looking for some new and different activities to get me moving. I am wanting to do some hiking and creek fishing this year. I live close to hiking trails so that fits right in with my walking. The creek fishing is a little less involved, but it will include walking as I wade up and down the creek while searching out various fishing spots.

I made it back from my vacation to Tampa to visit my family. I spent all of Friday in the car to get back to Kentucky. Then most of Saturday was spent driving to and from my grandmother's house to drop her off. I ended up trying to relax yesterday. Chass and I hosted our first cookout now that we have a house with a deck and grill. I also spent a lot of the weekend watching the NCAA tournament.
I had set a goal of getting to 100,000 steps on my trip. I thought that I would have had an easy path to the goal with the Florida weather and plentiful sidewalks. I am ashamed to say that I didn't make my goal. I didn't even get close. I made bad decisions. I opted to sleep late instead of getting up and hitting the pavement.

I'm down in Tampa visiting family. I drove down with my aunt and grandmother on Saturday. I didn't get in many steps at all since I was in the car from 5:30AM until 9:30PM. I did better yesterday. I was able to take a long morning walk with Littles. She made the trip down. Indy stayed with Chass and August to keep them company. My goal is to get 100,000 steps on this trip. The weather should be good so I'll have no excuse not to get out and walk around.

After a rousing day of bike riding on Monday, I fell back into old habits yesterday by not riding my bike to work. I also didn't go to the gym. I did, however, go to the gym this morning. Losing weight only involves two things: eating better & moving more. I have to move more. I need to get into a daily routine of getting out of bed and working out. I really enjoy exercising, but I just don't do enough to make it a regular part of my life. Now is the time to implement some changes with sun making a comeback. I think I'll head outside.

I skipped my weigh-in this week to spend a sunny evening with the family. I am traveling to Florida this weekend with my grandmother and aunt to see my family. Chass and August are staying here since August has school. I don't know if I'm going to go to a meeting while I'm down there. I will work on walking and maybe some golf. I won't get much exercise in on Saturday as I will be in the car most of the time.
The weather has been better here. It was in the high 50's to low 60's today. I decided to ride my bike to work to get some aerobic exercise in. It was a fifteen minute ride to and from work. I also walked a few blocks for lunch. I didn't make it to the gym this morning. I got up with a sick August at about 3:00 AM. He had an earache that kept him up until a little after 4:00 AM. I just couldn't bring myself to get back up at 5:00 AM to workout.

I didn't have a good trip to Atlanta. I spent the majority of my time in the car. My only real exercise was fifteen minutes on a treadmill yesterday morning at the hotel. I twisted my ankle about a week ago, and it is still tender. I'm really favoring it. Indy got out of the house on us earlier this evening so I had to run and chase him down. I was really hobbled when I got back home. In spite of that, I got some good steps in today.
I need to go workout in the morning. Even with a bad wheel, I can still do the upper body exercises. I am going to try and get back to the pool again on Saturday. I enjoy doing a low impact aerobic workout. I'm still contemplating doing P90X. I want to have a variety of exercises in my arsenal to help keep it fresh.

I have been away for awhile dealing with the day to day. I didn't have a good weekend of exercise. Yesterday, I didn't even make it off my street. My steps reflected the fact that I spent all day at the house. I did, however, make it out Saturday morning to go swimming. That was a good workout. I hope to make that a Saturday routine. I like switching up my workouts. I've been thinking also about doing P90X. My cousin is doing it, but he is in much, much better shape than I am. Since P90X is kicking his butt, I don't know if I will be physically able to do it. I'm asking my readership if any of you in my condition have tried.
I am going to be on the road for the next two days for business. I don't know how much walking I will get in with two days of seven hour car rides. I'll try to squeeze the steps in when I get to them. Also, I will have to face a lot of temptation with eating on the road for two days.
