I'm settled in at work this morning after a long weekend. Saturday in Chicago was more of the same. I woke up early and hit the street to find something to eat. I ended up going to a local restaurant on Michigan Avenue named Yolk. They served breakfast and lunch. I had some eggs and pumpkin pancakes that were fantastic. I wanted to walk around Grant Park and maybe check out Soldier Field, but I didn't have the time. I walked a few blocks back to the hotel to get ready to go to the trade show again. We walked around the trade show for an hour or so to tie up some loose ends.
We met a friend at the trade show who volunteered to drive us up to Wrigleyville so that we could see Wrigley Field. I was impressed by the ballpark and the neighborhood. It had a much greater sense of community than the Reds ballpark in Cincinnati. After our tour of Wrigleyville, our friend dropped us off at Ed Debevic's for lunch. I only had a small cup of chili since I was still quite full from breakfast. We walked the two miles for Ed's back our car at the hotel. We left Chicago late in the afternoon and got to Cincinnati just before bedtime.
I got up early on Sunday morning to get ready for the Bengals game. I went with three of my friends to Five Guys for our pregame meal. We were running a bit late on time, so we parked just north of Fountain Square and walked down to the stadium. It was a beautiful day for football. The weather for the entire weekend was perfect, but yesterday was exceptional. The Bengals won which always makes for an easier ride back home. I finally got back to my house last time to put August in bed.
Now I'm back to my routine. I got up early to walk Indy and go to the gym. I have my weigh in tonight. I'll post the results tomorrow. Wish me luck.
Saturday's Steps: 12,986
Yesterday's Steps: 9,653
